About This Bike
The 2024 Yeti SB160 C2 is a carbon-frame enduro mountain bike that combines cutting-edge features and design. Yeti is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to performance and innovation.
The SB160 C2 is built around a Yeti C series carbon frame, which provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and keeps the bike agile and responsive.
The SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain provides riders with 12 speeds and a wide range of gears that can handle everything from steep climbs to long, flowy descents and flat ground in between. The GX Eagle drivetrain also provides the precise and dependable shifting needed in hard-hitting enduro riding and racing.
Braking on the SB160 C2 is handled by SRAM Code R hydraulic disc brakes. The Code R brakes provide huge stopping power. They're designed for modulation so riders can fine-tune the braking force.
The front suspension is managed by a Fox Performance 38 fork with an impressive 170mm of travel for tackling obstacles and handling big drops.
In the rear, the SB160 C2 features a Fox Performance Float X shock with 160mm of rear travel. The combination of front and rear suspension components is carefully tuned to create a balanced and efficient suspension system.
For on-the-fly adjustments, this bike is equipped with a OneUp dropper post. With a simple press of a lever, the saddle height can be quickly adjusted to the optimal height for climbing, descending, and can be dropped completely down out of the way whenever you need.
The wheelset of choice for this bike is the DT Swiss E1900 with 30mm rims. These wheels are engineered to handle the demands of aggressive riding. They're wrapped in a Maxxis Assegai 2.5 EXO+ front tire and Maxxis Minion DHR II 2.4 Exo+ rear tire, which offer a superb combination of grip and durability. The Assegai is celebrated for its exceptional traction, ensuring that riders have confidence and control in challenging trail conditions. The Minion DHR II, known for its excellent braking and cornering abilities, makes for an ideal rear tire to complement the front tire's grip.
The integrated headset of the SB160 C2 is provided by Cane Creek, ensuring precise and controlled steering.
The SRAM Dub BSA threaded bottom bracket simplifies maintenance and servicing, making it easier for riders to keep the bike in excellent working condition. A threaded bottom bracket is known for its reliability and ease of installation, ensuring that the SB160 C2 remains a dependable companion for countless trail adventures.
