Custom Mountain Bike Builds

Custom all-black mountain bike

After riding bikes, our favorite thing is building bikes. We can’t wait to see the smile on your face when you get your hands on your dream machine!

We can take any existing stock bike we have and customize the components just for you. We can also build you a new bike from the frame up exactly to your specs.

“Quickly and professionally built the bike”

I brought in an Enduro frame in pieces (after a custom paint job) along with many boxes of parts. The team at Airpark quickly and professionally built the bike (supplying a few missing pieces at very reasonable price) and delivered it way ahead of schedule. Their quality, attention to detail and attitude was top notch. No other bike store is needed…just go to Airpark.

“Custom bike build”

Extremely helpful employees that were happy to accommodate all of my very specific requests for a custom bike build. I highly recommend this company.

Customizable components

Virtually every component of a mountain bike can be customized, including the frame, suspension, drivetrain, wheels, brakes, handlebars, stem, saddle, and even the paint and graphics on the frame.

Frame: The frame is the foundation of your bike build. We have frames available in variety of aluminum alloys and different types of carbon fiber.

Suspension: You can keep the frame’s original suspension components, or upgrade front and/or rear suspension.

Drivetrain: The drivetrain includes components like the crankset, chainring, cassette, derailleurs, shifters, and chain. With a custom bike you can choose your setup to optimize for gear range, simplicity, weight, or performance.

Brakes: Choose from top brands like Shimano and SRAM with various rotor sizes, brake pad compounds, heat-dissipating designs, and 4-piston options.

Rims and wheels: Choose your wheel size, rim material (aluminum or carbon), rim width, spoke count, and hub type. You can even make your bike a mullet if you want to.

Tires: Pick out tires with the width, tread patterns, and compounds that will help you crush it on the trails you ride: rocks, dirt, gravel, loam, hardpack, snow…

Handlebars: Choose from aluminum alloy, carbon fiber, or titanium, in different widths from <700mm to 800mm+, and with different rise and sweep.

Grips: Grips are one of the easiest parts to customize. Pick the perfect grips to get the perfect balance of grip, ergonomic padding, durability, and vibration damping. Great grips help reduce arm pump and keep you riding longer.

Stem: Choose from different lengths and angles to optimize steering responsiveness and rider position. You’ll also need to take the clamp diameter into account. Vibration dampening and weight are also factors here.

Saddle: The best saddle is the one you don’t even notice. Super important for comfort!

Accessories: Don’t forget the pedals, dropper seatposts, mudguards, and bottle cages.
