The SB135 trail bike is all new for 2023. It comes complete with 135mm rear suspension travel and 27.5" wheels, a rarity in 2023. It has all the refinements from years of racing and testing on the SB140 and SB160. XS to XL frames are designed to work for anyone 4'10" to 6'7", from pro youth riders to the tallest adults. The seat tube angle gets steeper with each larger size to compensate for the greater seat post extension.

The carbon layup offers a consistent ride feel through the whole range, meaning everyone gets the same peak performance to shred as hard as they've ever dreamed about. A shorter seat tube leaves room for modern day, full-stroke dropper posts. You can run 150mm on XS and SM, 175mm on MD, and 200mm plus on L an XL.

The bike's new-school geometry is focused on balanced climbing and descending prowess. A new two-piece shock extender optimizes leverage ratios while allowing for more shock compatibility, lower standover height, and even more water bottle clearance. The bike also has a new SRAM Eagle Transmission, a SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger, a threaded bottom bracket, and internal cable routing.

There are seven build kits to choose from, including two Lunch Ride versions. Those have a beefier suspension, brakes and tires, along with an extra 10mm of front travel.   • What's the difference between the TURQ and Carbon Series SB135?

    TURQ Series bikes have the highest quality carbon fiber available to optimize their weight, stiffness and durability. Carbon Series bikes have a modified carbon fiber layup. So they have the same stiffness and durability, but they weigh more.

  • What's Switch Infinity technology?

    The suspension has a patented translating pivot that switches directions as the bike moves through its travel. This provides anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance. It also maintains re responsive suspension characteristics throughout the travel.

  • Does Switch Infinity require any maintenance?

    It has external grease ports to lube the bushings and seals. Re-grease it after 40 hours of riding. You should also clean off any excess dust and dirt throughout the week.

  • What travel fork is this bike made to use?

    150mm or 160mm on Lunch Ride versions. You can run up to 180mm. It will slacken the head and seat tube angles and raise the bottom bracket. You can also run a shorter fork. It will steepen the head and seat tube angles and lower the bottom bracket.

  • Does this bike have ISCG mounts?

    Yes, integrated ISCG '05 mounts. It works best with low-profile modern guides. Some older models with larger upper guides might not fit. You should always do a fit-check with a specific chainguide to see what works.

  • What's the maximum tire size for this bike?

    Up to 2.6" tires. It has great tire clearance but sizes vary by manufacturers, so there's no number that works for all brands.

  • What size rotor fits on the frame?

    203mm rotor with a brake adaptor, 180mm rotor without.

  • What type of shock does this bike use?

    210x55mm shock. Depending on the model, it can be locked out, but Yeti recommends running it fully open for the best possible traction and compliance. XS and SM don't work with piggy back style shocks because they have limited clearance in the front triangle.

  • What type of shock hardware does this bike use?

    M8x36mm hardware on the air can side and a custom Yeti reducer on the shaft side.

  • Can I put a coil shock on this bike?

    Yes, MD-XL sizes work with air and coil-sprung shocks. Once again, XS and SM don't work with piggy back style shocks because they have limited clearance in the front triangle.

  • What cranks and bottom bracket can I use on this bike?

    BSA 73mm bottom bracket and only wide "q" factor cranks. It readily works with Shimano, SRAM, and RaceFace cranks. You have to do a fit check for other brands.

  • What rear wheel axle fits on this bike?

    It works exclusively with SRAM's Universal Derailleur Hanger at 12x148mm spacing. This axle has a 12x1.0 thread pitch and a 172mm length. It's only compatible with frames made with the Universal Derailleur Hanger.

  • What type of headset does this bike use?

    Integrated 41mm/52mm tapered headset. The bearings are contained in the head tube for a lower ride height, increased stiffness, and easier installation.

  • Can I use an angleset on this bike?

    It's made with an integrated headset with the cups molded into the frame, so you can easily drop the bearings into the cups. There are some aftermarket anglesets for this style headset, but the frame wasn't tested for them, so they shouldn't be used. Yeti's warranty is also void if one is installed.

  • Can I run a stealth seat post dropper on this bike?

    Yes, it has routing options for stealth only.

  • What's the largest single-chainring I can use on this bike?

    It depends on the crank chainline and the chainring shape. It's 3.5mm minimum clearance from the chainring to the chainstay. Shimano/SRAM Boost cranks: 34t round/32t oval. Minimum chainring size: 28t round/30t oval. For more information, ask your local dealer or call Yeti at (303) 278-6909.

  • What chainline was this bike made around?

    55mm Boost chainline. You can run other chainlines depending on the crank and chainring configuration, but you have to do a clearance check first. One again, it's 3.5mm minimum clearance from the chainring teeth to the chainstay.

  • What's the recommended sag for this bike?

    You should start with 30% sag or 16.5mm shock stroke for the best terrain compliance and pedaling efficiency. You can go above or below 30% to suit your preference. Always set your sag at your normal riding weight, gear included.

  • What size seat post and seat collar does this bike use?

    31.6mm seat post and 36.4mm seat collar.

  • What's the longest travel dropper I can run on this bike?

    It depends on your inseam. You can run any travel as long as you're above the minimum insert mark. Also as long as your tires don't rub on your saddle or your dropper doesn't bottom out in the frame. Yeti runs a 150mm dropper on XS and SM frames, 175mm on MD, and 200mm on LG and XL.

  • How can I tell which link is needed for each frame size?

    The bike uses two different links between all frame sizes. XS and SM use link part 200020426, designated by two dots on each side of the link. MD-XL use link part 200020427, designated by two dots on the drive side of the link.

  • Can I make this a mullet bike with a 29" wheel/front fork?

    Yes, but it changes the geo a bit. The head and seat tube angles get slacker and the bottom bracket gets higher. Some people like these changes and some don't. You can decide for yourself.

  • Can I change or upgrade the spec components?

    Some parts from Fox, Shimano, SRAM and other brands are standardized. Check with a mechanic to make sure your parts are the correct standard. And make sure they're correctly and securely mounted to the bike without any interference.

  • Can I replace or modify any Yeti frame parts?

    You should only replace them with genuine Yeti parts. Yeti can't qualify and ensure other products are safe to use on its frames. If you use parts from other brands, all warranties will be voided, and you assume full liability.

  • Can I fit a water bottle in the front triangle?

    Yes, you can fit Yeti's 15oz Hot Lap bottle on XS and SM frames, a standard 21oz bottle on MD with a piggy-back shock, and a standard sized bottle on LG and XL. You should use a side-entry cage for easy access.

  • What's the warranty on this bike?
