2024 Norco Optic

Your short travel dream bike.

You know and love the Norco Optic short travel trail bike. Now it's back with major improvements for 2024. First it has a VPSHP, a Virtual Pivot Suspension with a High Pivot Horst Link, made for the specific requirements of the bike. The back wheel moves backward instead of forward thanks a higher main pivot. So the bike handles better on rough, obstacle-filled trails.

Anti-squat has been adjusted to make the Optic more efficient and responsive when you put all of your power into the pedals. The idler, which is the small wheel attached to the chain, helps control how much the bike moves and keeps the pedals from pushing back too hard.

There are three fully built-out carbon Optic bikes. Available in 29" and MX set-ups with 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, 200/180mm rotors, and 140/125mm travel. Plus a carbon frame kit and an aluminum frame kit that can be customized to your liking.

New Ride Aligned System

Ride Aligned optimizes geometry and suspension kinematics based on your height, weight, riding style, and preferred terrain. And now it has a built-in assistant to perfect the set-up.

VPSHP Suspension

Created with Norco's VPSHP suspension system, the Optic improves how its back wheel moves over rough ground. Making it better at handling tricky trails while still being dynamic and playful.

140mm / 125mm Travel

The travel provides enough cushion and compliance for technical terrain while maintaining responsiveness for climbing and handling.

4-Piston 200mm / 180mm Disc Brakes

These hydraulic disc brakes offer superior stopping power and heat dissipation. Ensuring precise control and braking performance in the most demanding conditions. Larger rotors have more leverage and surface area for better modulation, keeping you safe on all of your adventures.

29" or MX Wheels

You can get a full 29er bike with 29" front and rear wheels. Or go with MX with a 27.5" back wheel. There's also a Missing Link Kit that lets you switch between 27.5" and 29" to find your perfect size.
