2022 Diamondback Haanjo 1

The Diamondback Haanjo series is a lineup of gravel and adventure bikes designed for riding on pavement, gravel and bumpy dirt roads. These bikes are suited for commuters, bikepackers, road riders, and cyclists who enjoy heading off on long-distance adventures.

The Haanjo 1 is the most affordable model in the series. It's a fully rigid bike with a steel fork, with a somewhat more relaxed riding posture than most road bikes. It comes equipped with flat handlebars, a 1x9 Shimano gearset, and 700cc tires, as well as mechanical disc brakes front and back.

Although it only has nine gears, the bike has a respectable 327% gear range which is plenty for most around town and gravel biking, although it might leave you wanting more on fast pavement or large hills. The 1x shifting system is simpler and quicker to use than a gear set with multiple gears up front, since there's no overlapping gear ranges. It's also easier to maintain and offers more reliable shifting

The 2022 Haanjo 1 comes with 700x38c Vee Rubber Zilent tires, which are wide enough to handle gravel but still roll smoothly on pavement.
