2023 Santa Cruz Nomad 6

A bike for going on the paths less traveled.

The sixth generation Nomad is the most versatile model yet. Like many other Santa Cruz bikes these days the Nomad 6 is a mullet bike, or MX, with a 29" wheel up front and 27.5" in the back. It also has updated geometry with a more consistent feel through the stroke. Santa Cruz says it's the perfect blend of stability and agility. The same VPP suspension platform with co-rotating links and lower-link driven shock.

The Virtual Pivot Point suspension now has lower anti-squat to lessen the impact over square-edge hits. You get trail-smashing 170mm front and rear travel. The RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ works with air and coil shocks, each with their own performance benefits. This bike also comes with Plus RaceFace ARC or Reserve 30 carbon rims, and a SRAM universal derailleur hanger.

The Glovebox in-frame storage box is included on every new Santa Cruz bike. There's a handy tool wallet and tube pouch for the necessities, like small tools, tubes, and snacks. It's conveniently stored in the downtube. The high-quality latch ensures everything stays in place when you're shredding the trails.

The frame comes in small to extra-extra-large to accommodate all heights. Chainstays and effective seat tube angles change on the bigger sizes. You can adjust the handling to your liking with the flip chip. High setting gives you the best pedal clearance for more technical terrain. Low setting offers a more progressive shock rate and improved traction.

The Nomad has a 29" up front for crushing obstacles, and a 27.5" in the rear for quick acceleration. It's the perfect balance of high-speed stability and agility.

Choose from ten builds, or get just a frame and customize it yourself. The frames have carbon C or carbon CC lay-ups — two incredibly durable materials for shredding the trails. MSRP ranges from $5,649 to $11,199.
