2023 Rocky Mountain Slayer
Your Freeride Dream Bike
The 2023 Rocky Mountain Slayer is a freeride bike, meant for challenging trails with jumps and drops. It has 180mm front and rear travel and updated geometry. There's even a new Alloy 30 Park build with a 200mm dual-crown fork.
New & Returning Features
For the first time ever, Slayer carbon builds have a full carbon fiber frame. It's made from the brand's Smoothwall layup with ultimate durability and stiffness-to-weight. They also come with PenaltyBox in-frame storage, letting you store tubes and tools right in the downtube.
Carbon and alloy both have a two-position axle dropout and downtube protection. A full-length chainstay protector dampens chain noise. Cables are routed through the frame so they don't rattle or rub together. This is such a quiet bike, the competition won't even hear you coming.
Adjustable Geometry & Sizing
The Slayer has Rocky Mountain's own RIDE-4 adjustment system. With it, you can fine-tune the geometry with Allen keys. There are four possible configurations with a flip chip. Changes are subtle enough so there's minimal effect on the shock tune.
Small and medium sizes have mixed wheel set-ups with a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" in the rear. Large and extra-large are full 29ers. Size-specific tune gives all height ranges the same level of small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and end-stroke progressiveness.
