  • Can I fit 27.5" wheels on this bike?

    Yes, it's compatible with 27.5x2.8" or 29x2.4" tires. If you go with the smaller size, you'll probably want the Hi BB setting and a 160mm fork to keep the BB height in the right range.

  • Can I fit a Chris King bottom bracket on this bike?

    No, the bottom bracket could make contact with and damage the rear triangle.

  • Can I fit a chainguide on this bike?

    Yes, it has ISCG-05 tabs for easy chainguide mounting. Most chainguides that are made for this standard should work.

  • The XXL has a longer chainstay length than the other sizes. Is that a different swingarm? Can I swap them out for different sizes?

    The 6mm longer length is built into the front triangle of the XXL. All other parts are identical to other sizes. So there are no parts necessary to accomplish this change or possible adjustments to be made.

  • Should I ride in high or low setting?

    You should try both, but start in low. If you're hitting the pedals too much, switch to high.

  • The geometry chart shows two settings. How do I adjust that?

    There's a flip chip on the link where the shock mounts. Remove the lower shock bolt and flip the chip to the setting you want.

  • What's the recommended fork?

    The geometry is based on a 150mm fork with a 42 or 44mm offset. You shouldn't have less travel than that because the BB would get too low. You can have 160mm if that's your preference.

  • What kind of headset does this bike use?

    41mm upper and 52mm lower headset cups. The SHIS name is IS 41/28.6 IS 52/40.

  • What size tires fit on this bike?

    It varies by the make and model of the tire. The max size is generally 29x2.4". Some 2.5" tires work, but not all.

  • Are there any limitations on changing the rear shock?

    You can fit most shocks with some exceptions. Santa Cruz recommends Rockshox Super Deluxe, Deluxe, Fox DPX2, and Fox Float DPS. Fox Float X2, Cane Creek DB Air, and all coil shocks are not compatible.
